Hard to say....could be the slug rejector or the whole coin mech. Maybe ask if the crank handle is there?

He may be refering to the nickle tubes which won't hurt the main operation.

Or I was thinking someone may have a non change giving mech and saw a pic of a change giver and assumed it is missing arts.

Here is the reply I got from seller  "The 44 has the coin mechanism but not the little 3 x 5 part (I think it held coins for making change) below the mechanism and handle.
Also, what is the missing "front plate" of which you speak?
We'll come down to, but not below,  $1700-- rather than advertising it nationally. O.K.?"
--------Doesn't the Vendorlator 44 have a chrome plate on coin slot and good price???

VMC-44 does not have a chromed coin entry bezel. Sounds like he has a non-change-giver mech. There were quite a few mechs offered for every machine - change-givers, non-change-givers, straight sale...
$1700 sounds high to me for the VMC-44...

"      $1700 sounds high to me for the VMC-44..."  Is this to much for a 44? I thought these sold for about 5 grand restored. Excuse my ignorance, I'm a newbie, what can I say?

It sounds high to me - the V-44 is better looking with all the chrome.

The 44 has lost a lot of interest since bottles stopped being refilled. Back 10 to 15 years ago it was the hotest machine available but it only vends small bottles and is one flavor. Since then the V81 and V56 has gained a lot of interest and a lot of value since it vends the larger Mexican bottles, beer bottles and water bottles and is multiflavor. If you are buying a machine to look at then I like the 44 if your buying a machine to use at all I would buy the 81 all day long.

I have a VMC 81 (doesn't cool to good right now) but was looking for a smaller unit for upstairs. May be even a Ideal 35??? Any ideas as to a smaller unit for looks and useability?

Glass door Vendo 56 round top. Easy enough to remove stack and compressor for moving it up stairs.

Are you looking to sell your VMC81? I may be interested in buying...trading?? Where are you located?

If I sold my VMC 81, I would have to go with it because the wife wouldn't let me in the house. I was wanting another small machine because one  just isn't enough. I would like to thank everyone for the great responses to my questions. This seems like a pretty tight knit group of people with a common bond and who are willing to share their knowledge freely.Thank You. Here in Tulsa, I have not found any level of support for this activity so this board with be used a lot.
