Well I was right on the money. She said she had it appraised at
$4400 so she wants $3000 for it. She was a nice old lady tho.

Then again, that $550 is looking better and better!!

Oh its sounding real good right about now. Like I said these never seem to pop up around here in the Austin area at all but im also in no hurry to buy one. I want one real bad but Im am also willing to wait for the right deal. Granted im not wanting it for free but I sure dont think she will get $3000 for it anytime soon. If anyone sees a stoner come up in Texas please let me know. Thats the last thing I want to add to my gameroom.

Trust me, outside of Michigan area, nothing ever seems to pop up around you!! There have been a couple of Juniors pop up in Texas that I have seen, but you are going to pay for it and less than $550 is unlikely for any stoners that are presentable.

Oh I know that saying all to well. Im also an arcade collector and I thought Id only have one or two. Before I knew it I had 20 but I got smart and sold off most of them. Now Im down to 5 and thats all I need for now. They are also some valuable machines so thats why they stayed. Now I just need to add a stoner and im good to go.

I guess watching an episode of Pawn Stars  counts as an appraisal

Now who would appraise that thing for $4,400???

Anyone with a legitimate access to auction records for stoner candy machines, normally a paid service..... Appraisals are normally for insurance, auction records would include the high end -restored machines to the basket machines and finding a middle ground and is likely to have the theaters mixed in since stoners do not sell every day. The high end is $7-8000, Low end is $7-800.

So if you were insuring it to be replaced only using a retail source say within 30 days from today, $4400 would not be unreasonable. You would not take us all wanting them for $300 or less off craigs list and jumping to get them.

Remember, how much it is worth is not how much you would pay, I know, I know... Its always too much. I wish I could find machines all day, every day for what the people in here think they are worth. If you are selling for 30% of what they sell for at auction or ebay, or 20% of what they are asking for retail, feel free to PM me.
