Picked up a WD-5 at a local auction recently and am attempting a restore. Someone tried to spraypaint the thing and did a half way decent job, but the lid is too dark for the rest of it. It cools & the seals & body are in good shape, but its missing a few parts. Gone are the cap catcher & rear grill covering the compressor.

I've got a few questions...
1. Any idea where a person can get a cap catcher or the rear grill (though the grill isn't that important)?
2. Any advice on repaiting the embossed lettering? I've heard decals are available, but usually don't work too well. I don't have the money to take it to a professional and have it painted or screen printed.

Welcome aboard Cdd,
If the cooler is going to be inside then the vinyl cut decal lettering will work great. I have several different grills in various sizes. What is the size opening you are looking for. '<img'>
