Have the Glasco working flawlessly now. Inside fan as well. I am now replacing the thermostat for safe measure. Anybody know the trick to getting the thermostat lead that goes up the tube in the tub to look like the one that comes out. I ruined my new thermostat trying to duplicate the winding look.

Wrap the cap tube tightly around a small diameter screwdriver shaft

Thanks Glen! I'll try that. I guess it my efforts I must have damaged the new thermostat. After getting it up the tube the compressor wouldn't kick on. I put the old one back and it kicks on. Are thet easy to damage the probe or did I just get a bad one?
