Rod it  looks Sweet!  you did a great job, but a question, on the before pic  the Dr pepper sign  is round (what does the 10, 2 and 4 mean?)  and on the after you converted to a different one that's rectangle  (looks better).  Which is original to the machine  the before or after?

Ray

PS I like your  F14 and  Road show pinball  machines.

GREAT JOB ROD!!!!
Just a question though.... maybe u have more knowledge than me as I bought my VMC 81 Pepper already restored.
I notice that you have a "Dr Pepper" sign at the front (as do I) although mine is a bid larger than what you put on.
My question is, have you any idea what the actual "original" size is of the sign in front... or were ALL the original signs on the Pepper machines like that on your "before" pic, the round 10 4 2 sign.
Just a question, as I too like things as they were.
GREAT looking job!

10-2-4 was when they wanted you to drink a Dr Pepper everyday. I guess they thought you should skip lunch. No decals is my vote.

they claimed that those were the times when your body naturally gets tired. so they suggested you drink dr pepper to perk you up.  in many companies that is when they have there designated employee breaks also

I'm sure Rod will chime in, but I believe the way he restored it was back to the original way they came from factory, Rectangular sign on front and round on sides..
Looks great!
