Title: Coke & Gas Station Collection
Post by: Ken R on August 27, 2011, 01:28:30 pm
Hi All,
I was just curious if there were an auction with a 30-40 year collection of Coke and gas station stuff, including vintage signs, machines, pumps, etc., is that something that folks on here would be interested in?  Just wondering how much interest there would be in that.  Thanks.

Ken

Cool.  I work for an auctioneer and we are working on getting this huge collection.  If we're able to get it, I will post something on here to let everyone know when it will be and where it will take place as well as how to bid online.  Keeping my fingers crossed we get it.

Ray,
Unfortunately, I do not yet have an entire inventory of the collection.  From the sounds of it though, it would not surprise me if he did.

All,
My auctioneer spoke with the gentleman yesterday, which was the next step toward working out the agreement for auction.  As soon as I get confirmation that the merchandise is inbound for auction, or I get a signed contract, I will let you guys know so that you can begin watching for auction date.  I will be posting pictures online as well so that you can all see what is to come...as soon as I get some to do that with.  I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, including mine, just yet until it is confirmed that we're getting the consignment...if that makes sense.  BUT, as soon as I do get confirmation, you guys will be the 2nd to know!!!  I'm pretty sure they come with the collection, but there's a small chance they won't, but there are also three cars...an older hotrod, a 1964 Falcon Delivery Truck (looks like a station wagon), and a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T.  Again, I will let you guys know and will be looking for some assistance to hook up with a delivery/shipping company to see if we can't work out a deal so that many of the larger items can be purchased and shipped around the nation or otherwise.  Hope everyone's having a great Sunday!!!

Ken

I have one priced at 550 and no bites yet... I'm kinda deep into it, so not a lot of wiggle without a hit..

One just sold on GreedBay for $409.01, My uncle just purchased one for $370. So right now, I would estimate between $300 - $500 depending on condition...
