Title: I'm in deep Stoner S--t!!!!!
Post by: 1954superMTA on December 13, 2013, 03:58:40 pm
I just finished restoring my Stoner gum selector candy machine (8-pull, 7 candy) whenI inserted the new glass that I got from a guy who does these.  I think it was $110 bucks but, man it was dead on beautiful.  Anyway, my boy was out in the garage messing around and broke that glass.  I made him pay for it with the idea of calling the guy in Ohio to get another one.  Well guess what?  He no longer has anymore excepet the leftover run of larger glass for the bigger machines you guys may have seen on E-bay.  Can't believe it and now I'm really screwed.....I was wanting to post pics of the resto like a proud father.  Any help or suggestions?

Can you not take the broken glass to a local sign writer and get him to replicate the decal. New bit of glass, decal on glass
put back in machine and hey presto everything as it was beforeā€¦

Oh man I think I would be seeing red if that was my kid. I wish I could help but what Dave said is what I do in this situation.

Tony is in Ohio and is the person that sells on "the bay". His are silk-screened but he only does one color and small batches at a time...
