This seems like a reasonable price doesn't it?

It looks to be all there. if the body is in good shape, and it does cool, and you like it, go for it.

A bit too far away from me, plus Mrs. Foos saw me looking at it and gave me "the look".  I think I better finish my Ideal 35 before I jump into another machine.

I'm surprised, I personally have never considered the 51 as a collectible machine, maybe I'm wrong. Have never looked for that machine. My buddy had the 102 and was never into that other then the fact that it was rare. The design of the 51 just doesn't have much going for it, IMO.

C-51s don't have a lot of appeal to the collector, but the average guy seems to like them.

I have had a few and never had an issue selling one for a profit. Not much of a profit mind you, but a profit just the same.

I beg to diifer.... the 51 is a great machine in my opinion... as it has a large embossed "Drink Coca Cola".. along with "In bottles"  As well, with my machine, as I have seen others like it, it has the decals for the 3 easy steps to get a coke out, which came in yellow lettering.  To me, it adds to the machine.
Also (lol) the ammo belt inside is a great thing to show people when they come over, as it really is interesting...
The machine is not big at all, and if ya get one with good orignal paint, the Cav. red is awesome!  happydrinkers
