Title: When a machine goes bad
Post by: racerx45 on May 09, 2003, 11:39:35 am
OK this really makes me mad. I collect only Coca-Cola and this is about a Pepsi machine so you know it’s bad. I am suffering around e-bay and found this ad for a Pepsi not Coca-Coal fountain machine. What makes me mad is to see a restorable machine cut up. If you want to personalize your machine go ahead. But if you need to make it something it never was find a machine that is too far-gone to be put back to original. I have seen everything for car trailers to barbeques made out of old soda machines. Most of them only gave up their embossed panels, as the rest of the machine was too far-gone. This one the guy had restored to working order only to slap a counter top on it then cut a hole in the side and screw on an icebox door. It looks like there are only decals on it no embossed panels, so why not just have a box made up to fit your needs?

Anyhow I guess I am just venting a little here. I just hate to see these violations to the hobby pop up and have the owner/seller think they are doing us all a big favor.
