Title: VCC prices
Post by: collecture on June 07, 2017, 06:45:34 pm
Good price for this VCC.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/vendo-vintage-coin-changer-/322537642072?ul_noapp=true&nma=true&si=WRHz74dojhjjO03HLSy0sc2%252F0QE%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

BUT...look at the pictures to determine condition. I wonder whether it is complete inside considering.

They have been kind of soft recently.

Looks like red handle or slide is missing to engage the coin mechanism to give change?  Never mind I see the black knob.  What is it Tom?  Now you have me thinking ??

Without opening the main door it would be hard to tell.

Since you can see the locking tabs are bent up in the back, he can open it at any time without the key. Either he didn't try to pull it open, or he knows something is missing inside.

Ding...Ding...Ding
We have a winner!
My intuition says something is missing!

Ah... Now I did follow that for a while and though if it went cheap I might have a bid on it. Glad I didn't know... Knowledge is king.

I saw that! http://www.ebay.com/itm/vendo-vintage-coin-changer-/322547886353?
This is "one" of the things I hate about eBay!
Is it shill bidding? Is it a devious seller? I really thought this was a valid listing and genuine bidding activity. It got relisted too fast!
eBay s*cks!

Yeap.. Something a little dodgy. I see there are no pictures of the insides.

Anybody want to hazard a guess as to whether they are complete?

Now that he has it open you would think he'd run a few coins through.

I e-mailed him and told him what Tom said, that the case was unlocked so please take some interior pictures.

Looks like he updated his listing,..........

Looks like my intuition failed me again!  :glare:  :upside:
It is complete down to the coin box.
Hopefully the new owner will be able to bend the locking tabs back down without them breaking off!
