Title: Cavalier 72 / Upper Evap Fan
Post by: Slapshot42 on August 07, 2016, 01:33:23 am
Looking for some assistance on the proper wiring.  When I removed the old wiring the (2) leads were plugged directly into the terminal block, inside the main door.  These ( 2 ) leads went directly up to the upper evaparator fan.

The new wiring harness has ( 2 ) leads coming out of the junction box.  I'm trying to figure out how to tie in the new motor in with the new wiring harness, plus figure out why and how to get to additional leads back to the terminal box??

I'm going to guess I wire the new motor up with the wire that comes out of the junction box the are for the upper evaparator fan .  And than use the hot wire usual for door lights to the terminal block inside the main door?  I"m assuming the hot wire powers the terminal block going out to the coin mechanism, and Coke light?

I bought a 4 lead wiring harness .

Thanks!

I just wired one last night and used a 4 lead junction block.
mine had a lead specifically marked for upper evap fan.. I had to cut the leads and wire with wire nuts but worked find.. then used the Other "Hot" lead to the main power for the coin mech, lights, etc..
the other lead was for main power supply and final for thermostat..
