Dan - I think you are right. The write up etc tends to lead me to believe its completely made up.
I e-mailed him last night. No reply this morning. I'm just hoping I managed to tap into a complete Ebay novice. (But that isn't my sort of luck)

Well if it is a scam he is pretty dumb. he has his preferred form of payment as Paypal. Just make sure that you pay with paypal and if he scams you you will get your money back. I have been taken by fake ebay auctions twice and both times paypal refunded my money without a problem. It takes a long time but at least you get it back.

WOW... if it's real, yeah 50 buck US Is as steal... Sure hope it works out for you...
This sign is not repopped by anyone.. would be very expensive to do it as well if it where.
