Hi Guys,

My curiosity has finally gotten the better of me.   '<img'> I have to ask a question that may reveal just how ignorant I am... but I can't help myself.  This is a question for those more experienced than I...

What differentiates members who are: A Penny's worth, a dime's worth, a quarter's worth, Soda Jerk?

At what point does a member transition from class of member to the next, and what are the added priveleges/responsibilities associated with these ranks?

David,

These are features incorporated into the system that can add functionality as a member moves into new groups...
There are several options associated with various groups and how they interact with each of the forums...
To answer your question, these titles I choose some time ago and haven't really given it much thought... Once you become a Soda Jerk, you can change your title...
Below is a picture showing the settings.

Hopefully helpful...

Thanks, guys.  I was uncertain about what the titles meant... figured better to ask than to remain ignorant.  Contrary to popular belief... ignorance is not bliss.  '<img'>

Maybe one day I too might be worth a nickel.

Jim,
I noticed some members avatars (including mine) have disappeared. Do we need to upload them again?

Tom,

I thought I transferred all of the avatars...
I did notice that a few people had some issues; nobody seemed to mind I guess...
At any rate, you could go into your Control Panel and upload an image you would like to use... I was just reviewing some of them and saw that several images are quite large for avatars. If you could, keep the dimensions below 100px X 100px because the system is going to resize the image anyway and if you have a large file, it's still a large file eventhough the system has resized it down to 64px X 64px(or whatever size is the default).

Hopefuly helpful...

Markito, quite often, pointed out if someone had something on top of the machine.  It became a recurring joke..."watch out for Markito", "don't let Marktio see that".  I think even a protective "Markito Mat" was "invented".  Wasn't it guys/gals?

Yeah Markito used to really get mad when people would set things on top of their machines. he would set some things on his machines but he would always cover the bottom in felt. I wonder what happened to him. I tried to call him a few times but he never answeres. His wife really hated these old machines. Maybe he brought home one too many, or she blocked this site from his computer so we couldn't give him any ideas.

Yea, I was in his neck of the woods two summers ago and I stopped by to meet him.  The first thing he did when we went in to his game area was pick up the wood bottle crate that was on top of his machine and said, "See?  You can let the other guys know that there is felt on the bottom of this!"  '<img'>

Last time I heard from him was back in May when we were both eyeing some 10 oz. bottles on ebay.  Looks like the last time he was logged in was back in June.  Of course he could be lurking around as a guest.  '<img'>

Didn't Kito disappear for a few months then pop back up for a couple of weeks and then he was gone again.

I know that he had interests elsewhere (home cinema) Sorry Theatre etc. His wife also had a new baby. Shame would be nice to see him pop back in again.

Joesquid is another guy who hasn't been around much recently. But he was playing around with that little boat of his.

How about USVET (or something like that) he was entertaining for a while.

Come on guys where are ya...
