Love soda advertising!!!

« on: December 22, 2012, 10:22:05 am »

My name is Kristopher and I'm new to this forum. I've been collecting Coca-Cola for a long time, but within the last year I have moved into a more broader collection of basically any soda brand. I mostly collect signs, but I have started collecting coin-op. My first machine was an original Cavalier 51 that has been kept indoors since it was bought brand new. My second machine is something special, I was lucky enough to be able to buy a fully restored Jacobs 56 Pepsi machine. I also have a Cavalier Giant Cooler from the 30's that I had restored and made into a table. My first non-soda coin-op is my awesome Stoner Theatre Candy Machine. Its just beautiful and it has the rare gum dispenser option. I'm currently following a lead on a 7up cooler that I would get restored. I'd like to have a VMC 81 in both 7up and RC. Good luck to me!! LOL I'm glad to be part of this community and look forward contributing to this great knowledge base. Cheers!!

The Cavalier 51 in my kitchen area. The Stoner Theatre is in the shop right now for a repair. Will post a pic once I have it.

I jumped on that Confectionary sign as soon as I saw it. It's just awesome!! You usually see them say Pharmacy or Soda Fountain. Never have I seen one of these say Confectionary!!

Yeah, I used fake acrylic ice and modern bottles. Would have loved to use old, unopened bottles, but would have cost a fortune!! LOL As for my relationship status, I'm single, but I do have a girlfriend that loves this stuff, not nearly as much as I do. It's just me and my 5yo son here most of the time though. He really loves all the cool stuff. I really enjoy watching him use these great machines!!

Here are some more pics of the various signs I have. I'm currently repainting another wall that would usually have signs on it, so that wall is not in my pic lineup as of yet. I'm always looking for new signs, so if anybody has any they like to sell. Let me know!!

Very Nice!
Welcome to SMC!
I love the eclectic mix of signage you have - you don't appear to have a dominant brand. Of coarse there is a lot of Coke (which is the premier brand), but you have a nice mix.
Thanks for sharing!
