Around 20 years ago, I had a Vendolator 242.  It was so big I could have sold my house and lived inside of it.

If I still had it I think I'd rip the guts out and store my snowblower in it.

And heavy, oh man...

Yes, I like the way most listings are sheepish about whether or not they cool.  They usually read "it cooled fine when I brought home five years but has been in storage since then and haven't plugged it in" or how about "cools fines but may need a shot of freon".  Then you have the folks that say "cord is cut, don't know if it cools".

Yea, they don't tell you that THEY are the ones who "cut the cord" ( so they won't be held liable when the the new owner finds out that the compressor's basically a boat ancor) see no evil, ( sins of ommision)  ':p' it's easy to spot, a freshly cut cord will have a nice bright copper shine on the exposed wire-ends, an old "chop" job will be dull, if not corroded....  so bid as if it doesn't work, & offer them the price of a parts machine..(that is IF you really want it)  '<img'>

Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes.
Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon!
The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p
Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor
11 is louder than 10...
"Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

Too bad the state this V-56 is in. Get upside down in any restoration real quick. I don't see any usable parts.

Hey Adam101,
I'll be watchin that V-63. It's close by and if the price gets within some sphere of reality it looks like a decent box. Course could be waiting a year or two for the guy to give up the pipe dreams :-)
Thanks for the heads up!

Looked at the V-56 again and that thing is just a mess!!
Bet it would bust in half on any shipping journey. Seen 65 mustangs that broke at the point where the frame rails join the body. Very bad and not cheap or sometimes even possible to fix.
On a good note the crank handle looks like it could be saved:-)
