Title: Westinghouse WE-6 Agitator Post by: iggybu on July 16, 2012, 05:56:36 pm I have two Westinghouse WE-6 coolers i am in the process of restoring. I will be using the original motors for them. One is from 1945 and the other 1946. I got both motors working but need to replace the cord going to the agitator. Does anyone know how to get the motor out of the housing it is in? I got the housing apart but the motor just won't budge! PLEASE HELP!!! Go to http://photobucket.com/WE-6 to see pics of my machines! :help:
:down: :darn: Title: Re: Westinghouse WE-6 Agitator Post by: johnieG on July 16, 2012, 06:27:23 pm The field coils on these earlier cast-Iron agitator/circulation pumps is press-fitted over the bushing shaft & then peened in place as I recall, & any attempt to force it off will usually result in cracking the coil-forms.
