Now I forgot to say I just GOT this a week ago from E-Bay . I took it all apart & Sand blasted every part that was Not Crome Or Stainless & Painted it with the Hammertone . Looking good so Far . But I think the Bigest problem will be finding a Original lock Since I had to drill this one out because it Was damaged . Also I'll have to have my guys in the Machine Shop make me New Knobs .One was Missing & One broke .But I have Black ones made .It look better with the silver

Man that's looking good!... A Canteen has been on the want list for a while... would look
nice next to my Stoner gum... Check with www.crowriver.com
Roger carries a lot of locks and may have one that will fit.
Keep those pics coming! You're doing great!

Nice!  But now do you have to drill some holes in the side of a candy machine to mount that bracket onto?

Very nice work.  I was going to bid on that machine, but the knobs scared me off.  If I remember correctly, you got some literature with the Canteen machine too.  That showed the nut machine version too.

Did you see the Silver Queen

http://cgi.ebay.com/Silver-Queen-gum-machine-coca-cola-red-soda-fountain_W0QQitemZ320197398794QQihZ011QQcategoryZ38QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

That was nice too.

Larry you are correct .I do have a manual that came with it . But It's only a Training Manual just step By step on how to Remove the money & Replace the supplys & Wipe down .Manly a Service Man's To Do list for training .

I did see the Silver Queen . But I realy Don't Collect Candy & Gum Machines .  tounge Although I do have 2 Candy Stoner 180 & Canteen S-6 And 2 Gum Vendors Stoner Fresh Gum & Now the Canteen Gum .  tounge tounge When Will It Stop . The Reason For the Canteen's was Before my Father Passed He Worked for them from the Early Sixtys In to the 80s He had Mention them before & Stated He Had only seen 1 because most were Destroyed He was told And Personly I never seen any other one then Mine now .

Don't worry Glen I'll try to Get More Pictures As I get Closer To finishing .

But I showing are a couple more pictures of Progress  smile The first is the Polished Trim parts . The little letter's were tough . Now in the earlyier picture showing the Silver You may ? Have seen the Letters painted red or Burgundy .I'v decided to Polish mine but IF! later I change my (half of ) Mind I could do it later .
The second is of the coin Mech installed & Working  tounge I also decided NOT to mess with it since it works fine now .I a firm beleiver in if it aint broke & works dont mess with it . I found that in most cases it was'nt broke till I fixed it  oh

Any way I'll keep working

Thanks Creighton  smile

Well I got to work on it a couple more hours today & I think I'm 85% completed . What I really Like abought this Machine is It can Vend the 5 Small squre Sticks of gum Or It can vend 2 small & 3 Full size Sticks . Or only 3 Full Sticks .Which is the Way I'm Going to leave it . Because I probley would not be able to find the small sticks anyway . This can be done by them supplying 3 trays That when removed (In Pic ) Will allow the Full Sticks .

There are also Small (weights ) Supplyed (see pic of 1 in cornner ) that are also used as a Stop (NO GUM VEND ) so in each cornner I left them in place Which means when you drop in a penny and try to use eather of the outer Knobs or Levers thay won't go down & it makes it act like out of stock . COOL  smile

You can see the full stick in place in Picture This is a Very Versatile little machine

Grap !! Lost the the other post & Had to start again .

Just a couple more pic's . All i need are Knobs & to install the Latching bar &find a new  Lock  smile

Thanks Eric for the site to look to check .I have'nt as of yet though  oops

I removed the Original window add which was Badly Faded & showed the small sticks . And am useing the Original window Shelf (Rack ) I had bought the Large Packs of gum thinking they were each Labeled peice by peice  NOT   darn I beleive that they used a stick in each Slot . So I cut the pack label down and used it Pluse the Two Original Empty gum labels .I think it Looks OK for now Huh???  Untill I can locate Labeled Sticks .
