Hi all, has anyone tried to install a Sanyo Talking Vendor Model SVU-517USL?  My local Coca-Cola distributor has a couple, and I was considering trying one out.  He has no information on the unit but has told me they can be installed on any machine.  If any one has tried this unit out or has information on it I would appreciate the help.  I am not sure if they only work on certain model machines or newer can machines only.

I remember seeing one in Stone Mountain, Georgia in the mid 80’s and it attracted quite a bit of attention to the machine.

Thank you,

Larry

Is this the one that starts to play the "I like to buy the world a Coke" song?  I still have nightmares about those machines and I can still hear it in my head telling me ..... "You need to put in more money!"  '<img'>

Hi Larry,
I'm in the process of doing that very thing in my Vendo 63 machine.
I haven't installed it yet, but I was going to put a micro switch on the vend solenoid to operate it.
I do have a wiring diagram of the sanyo unit that I could email you if you like.

Thank you Bob, I will send you my address.  I think my kids will enjoy this with Halloween coming soon and other kids parading through the house.   A talking machine should be a cool trick.   I plan on attempting to install it on a Cavalier 64, but depending on the difficulty I may use it on a later model can machine.  Since I am not sure what machine this was originally installed on.  Thank you for your help on this.

Sincerely,

Larry
