Thats a cool little box. Never heard of it. Thanks for sharing and I am sorry to hear about the damage. I use USPS almost exclusively now especially since they started the fixed rate boxes.

Great little machine. Looks like records may be tough to find though.

Last year, I had gone through two bad transactions attempting to get one of the BM-1000's
I was really upset to have to send one back as it was very nice but I couldn't get the dam thing to play right!
Fortunately, I was able to get my money back on both occasions. These are not an item to be shipped in a box! Doubled boxed or not! If I find one, I'll look into packing it into a box and strapping it to a pallet and shipping it that way; it may fair better that UPS, USPS or FedEx bouncing the box around...
I still would like to acquire one to replace one I should have never sold years ago...

UPS dropped this and broke the glass and bent the box up and it didn't work when I got it . I insured it and they denied the claim because it wasn't packed properly . It was over packed if anything ! They came by to take it and inspect it but all they did was repack with the same material and send it back to the seller . Then the seller sent it back to me but UPS sent it to the wrong address and state , It then made it back to me in worse condition than before . What a mess... I tore it all apart and got the box squared back up and all the parts working again and after all my work really all it needs is the glass replaced and new needles . UPS insurance is a scam unless they lose the package in there system because they denied all claims . Any way I have located the parts and just need to work things out with the seller for damages . I'm going to keep this either way . Its been through alot and so have I

My local UPS store states they will only fully insure the shipment against damage if they pack it ( which will cost you extra of course) I ran into the same issue with a small 3' tall Coke cooler, they dopped it, broke the glass out of the door & it was dropped so hard that the compressor was ripped right out of it's mounting bolts ( it probably was dropped of of the loading dock) and of course they refused the damage claim from my customer, who wanted ME to compensate them, ( not my fault if UPS dropped it) they filed a claim with Ebay, who sided with me in the end. Live & learn

The one in Detroit is the item I'm looking at!
I have spoke with the seller a few hours ago and am awaiting a few photos to close the deal...
I reeeaallly prefer not to ship this ! ! !
I'm hoping I can get this thing somewhere close for me of someone else to pick it up...
I will be traveling through eastern Tenn. into Virginia and onto Pa. in the beginning/middle of June...
So any ideas to get this piece is greatly appreciated ! ! !

It's close to me, so I can pick it up and hold it as long as needed.
Maybe I'll even drop in and visit RayG :)

And Jim, That would be great if you could pick it up!
I'll contact you if things go my way!
