Greg,
Great score!! Looks like it has the can puncher on it. When you get a minute please send me close ups pics of that. No rush at all.
Thanks!!

Nice vendorlator 90. Why do you need a USS64? This machine has a can rack in it. Just put your 56 next to this one and you have one for cans and one for bottles.

I missed seeing it. The author has deleted the post on Craigslist.  When you get pics, add them here.

ok gang,

picked this up today, it was about 3 mile from my work.  two nice older ladies had it in their dirt floor carport for "over 20 years".  they had a 7' tall gas pump from the 1920's? in front of the carport as well.  they would not let it go, but said that since i was into mechanical things that they would email me before they put anything else on craig's list.  cool.

it is a VF90R-C Vendorlator from fresno.  it does not have any soda branding on it that i could detect.  it is painted white and the original color is yellowish orange.  any thoughts on the original soda brand?

it has the metal insert in the front signage area, but has the transformer and starter socket for the flourescent inside the coin door.  it is a can machine and does have the can puncturer.  not bad at all.

here is a picture inside the coin door and one of the compressor area showing the yellow/orange paint color.

i'm half thinking about doing this, but don't really need that much refrigerated drink on hand.  also, i've not gotten the first electric bill since i plugged in the 56, but i plan on blaming it on the 100 degree plus weather we have here.

a nice uss64 might replace both of these machines, but since i never saw one as a kid, they still seem kind of weird to me.  i need to touch one to straighten my mind out.

May have been a Royal Crown Machine or Squirt.... A little paint and a few decals
and you'll be good to go!
Stay on them about the pump too! Let's see the whole machine!
Good Score! Congrats!!

That shade of yellow I would say RC. Could that be the r-c at the end of the model number????

i was wondering that myself.  i've been collecting photos and info on the various vendorlator 56's that folks have posted, trying to figure out how to tell the age.  it would be cool to know for sure.  i was wondering if anyone has tried looking for old salesmen in the fresno area?

also, on the subject of the uss64 front, has there been any effort to hybrid a vendo/vendorlator bottle/can machine?  something like 1/2 a bottle stack on the bottom and 1/2 a can stack on top?

maybe, just the engineer in me wondering.

Yea we bounced around mating the two different stacks awhile back. Sorry can't find the thread (and I think I started it :-(. It could be done but it would be very tricky. Easier to have two machines or a can/bottle vendor.

nice score! I agree, It may have been an RC Cola machine, the yellow is a bit to "Orange-gee" for Squirt.

The only problem is all square top RC machines I have seen are red and white. They switched their colors in the early 60's and this is a late 60's machine.

ah, that's what is going on.

i've been seaching the net for RC graphics and stuff for a restore and i kept seeing that.

the only orangy-yellow i've seen is in an old series of posts by curtis from Memory Lane Restorations and it was a "dads" refrigerator that he had done.
