a buddy of mine has this barber chair, The porcelain is very nice and will clean up great. It does need to be recovered as its ghetto looking now. It Pumps, and locks. Foot rest does have a crack in it. He wants $300.00 for it. I can store it in my garage for no charge. But shipping would be tough. its in zip 72635.   Joey |

I am so ready to build my chair, if and when the house comes through.
it's a very good price, the recovering can be done at a shop for about $75, loess if you have the talent. To rechrome does get pricey. I imagine NAVL would be able to transport it.

I talked with another buddy of mine tonight he said at $300.00 its a deal, He said easily worth $4-500. I dont know much about barber chairs, I do know they are heavy, and I dont plan on opening up a Barber shop anytime soon.

I've done some recovering of small furniture and this looks like it would be simple to recover. Just use the old material as a template. It looks like it just wraps around the back and is tacked on.

I restored a barber's chair and it was the easiest project I have ever done. I blasted the puke green enamel base and repainted it white. Also blasted the pitted chrome and filled in the pits and then painted the chrome white to. I covered the seat and arms in red velour and it turned out really nice.
I sit in it in the evenings and read my car magazines. It turned out to be a really comfortable chair.
If the chair were located close to me I would buy it.

another neat option is behind the headrest it has a sanitary paper roll, I heard alot of times these are often not there or were never there.
