Thermostat

I have an A30-262 Ranco thermostat(+3+43 degree range) on my Cornelius Compact 50 chest type drink box.
Two wires connect to the thermostat of course. Does it make any difference which thermostat terminal each wire connects to?
I realize it is a stupid question to a knowledgeable person put I have already gone down a very long list of possibliities and this is one of the last things I intend to check out on the box.(See other entrys concerning Cornelius Compact 50.).
