Hi all. I'm working on a Coke VMC 144 electric version with 3 selections.
Everything works fine except!!!!!!!!!!!. When the machine is full, the empty light comes on. Open the door, the light goes out and selection buttons are ready to accept coins.
(Using a coinco S-75 mech. rather than the original)
Although it didn't seem right, I reversed wires at these 3 switches and  now all lights work fine. Stilll have a problem, the coin return electro magnets are still confused, energized when they should not be. I removed them and it vends fine, but the machine is going to be used in a commercial location so I'd kinda like to make it right.
Has anyone else encountered this problem?     Glen

If the "CREMS" WERE enegized then the fingers would be held in the retracted position, and not reject coins, however if they are NOT energized, then they will allow the fingers to block into the coin(s) path & reject them to the return cup, if the earlier mech didn't give change, then chances are that the S75 mech isn't getting 115 volts to energize it's CREMS from socket #6 of the female jones connector start trouble shooting there...Hope it helps...JohnieG see attached diagram it may help too.

Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes.
Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon!
The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p
Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor
11 is louder than 10...
"Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

Thanks Jonnie. This is a change return machine. I put all wires back the way they were & did more testing.
The problem was originated in a drop chute switch I didn't even know exsisted. I'm still having problems with it, but at least know what to look for, and pass the info on.    Glen

Ok, the drop chute switch should come back to the jones socket on pin #7, & it presets the mech for a vend cycle, if it's sticking/broken then the mech. will think the machine is in the middle of a vend cycle & reject coins by de-enegizing the CREM's. looks like your on top of it!   '<img'>
