I just bought my first Mac and I want some advice from other Mac owners. I bought an Iphone three weeks ago and liked it so much I went out and bought a macbook Aluminum. Its freekin great except everything has to be relearned. I bought the Mac word processing software with pages, numbers and keynote but I don't like it so far. I just downloaded the free neooffice which seems Ok. At least its easier than using pages. Anyone bought the Microsoft office for Mac? I hate to buy it because after all the whole reason I bought a Mac is to get away from Windows. Any suggestions? Any tips for a new Mac owner? I love it so far. I had just bought an HP tablet PC about 6 months ago when I was home last. I have been through 3 hard drives and it just keeps having problems. The warranty is no good here because it was bought in the USA. SO I finally said hell with it and bought this Macbook. I found that Apple in the USA advertises on their site that they sell referbs but they don't have it on the site here. I called and asked and the lady didn't even know so she had to go ask and it turns out that they do. They had a factory referb of the latest aluminum model for $$265 cheaper. It comes with the full warranty and a $50 discount for a mighty mouse and a $50 discount for their version of the office software so I got everything for $1,335 USD. Not too bad. Sorry for getting off the subject but if anyone has any helpful hints please let me know.
