dnbc 302/186-7

I replaced the compressor deck from my dnbc 302/186-7 the one that came with the machine was not working (see my prior thread) I got the used deck and it works great, but I have a few questions
 With the thermostat turned up to 10 it only gets 38 f  is that a stat t issue or the comprossor issue
 the second issue is the fan on the deck it blows the air towards the compressor not towards the heat exchanger.  I THOUGHT it should blow to the exchanger is that correct?

Your little diagram is correct,   the fan should PULL the cooler air across the condensor first, the past itself, & finally over the compressor case.   compressor<<<<<fan<<<<<Condensor<<

Your lack of cooling could be related to the reversed airflow issue, so, correct the air flow first, then check the inside temperature again, if it's still too warm, then try bypassing  the thermostat (by removing & shorting the wires together that connect to it ( the thermostat) & to avoid a shock or blowing the circut breaker/fuse, be carefull not to allow them to touch you or the chassis (ground) give them a nice wrap of electrical tape while you are testing the circut.

if it's still too warm, then check your indide/evaporator fan & make sure that its clean too. at this point, if it still isn't getting cool enough, you may have a cooling system/charge issue.


this process of elimination will help direct you to the trouble maker.

 the air flow is correct... I just thought it should blow opposite of the way it is. thanks for clearing that up.
 as far as the stat goes I jump it out and see how cold it gets. I was thinking that the cut in and cut out setpoints in my stat my be the issue, but jumping it will clear that up
