I guess prices aren't down on everything.  The bidding seems high on this.

Man, that thing has been on craigslist here (northern VA) for weeks, the guy was looking for $350 for it.  Good to see he got a better deal, since I have the exact same one here.

If it goes through! I'd like to find a USS near me, but I'm sure I wouldn't pay that much for it.

It's Christmas and all, so why am I so jaded? My first thought after  viewing the auction was " a shill auction". Yeah, it's unfair of me.

Not every buyer researches prices, and for every  $700 square top sold,   10 are still going for $150- 250.  I'd love to only find ignorant buyers, I'd sell my v39 for 10 grand and  use the money to buy more square tops to sell for  $700
My congratulations to the seller, and to the buyer, he I have a ultra rare Vendo Junior I'll let go for $3500, restored ( and reassembled)  they are worth 13g  Cool

I thought the same thing (shill) at first, but I have to admit the square tops (like the USS) that can vend both bottles and cans are by far the most desirable (IMO) and do fetch a higher premium. $600 is still high to me though!

I wonder if he now has to arrange to ship his Pepsi machine, or if it is close enough for him to it pick-up. Shipping ain't cheap.
