think i have figured this out!

there are two pedal cars in the auction and the silver one
has the 56 corvette detailed listing description but it has
NUB120 reg plate.

the other pedal car in the auction is red and has a JAGUAR
listing description, stating it was based on the three times alps
rally winning Jaguar 120!

so believe that the two pix are on the wrong descriptions & you guys
[knowing your cars like you do have correctly identified it as the jag]

have attached the only pix of the red car, but you may recognise this
as more closely resembling a 56 vette...........................................

unless of course it is an even bigger mystery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The red car is indeed a '56 Corvette, and still manages to look cool  with limited view angle

Yep, that is the 56 Vette!  I saw a few of those at the Woodward Dream Cruise in Birmingham, MI yesterday.  And a lot of other very nice classics!

That is really cool looking Ginger... I'd love to see more photos.. that almost looks big enough to be an adult sized pedal car???

Not sure if Ginger is going to the auction but I might try and get the day off and go there myself...
Don't tell the wife...

If I do I'll shot a few more pictures of the car.. Will not be buying it though, unless they hand it out as a freebie on the way out...

There's a guy that works for me, Mike's dad recently died of cancer. He was wealthy and owned a chain of resturants and collected pedal cars as a hobby for as long as the family can remember. He has a few hunderd pedal cars in his collection. Mike has been telling me about his dad's collection for years. One of the cars is a very early Cadilac that has working lights and horn. The peadl car has been totally restored and is said to be worth about 35K. The family is cataloging the cars and will be selling off the collection at either a auction house or ebay. I'll keep you guys posted. He is supposed to be getting me some photo's. I'll post them when they become avail.

a quick update, as the auction was today

the blue and white coke sign sold for £44 plus 15% comission + tax [about $100]

and the jag pedal car sold for £1100 plus 15% comission+ tax [ about $2750]

and the 56 corvette well after all the wrong pix and copy was........not sold, so
presumably it didnt hit its reserve.

now i didnt go but maybe dave bought the jag and is driving it back very slowly
