I'm horrible now with posting pics... Joey how do you post yours to print so big and clear..
these are .jpg at 8.25 inches tall at about 27dpi.... anyway
this does need a bottle door gasket this one is kinda dirty and stiff... who sells those? anyone
but the mech is clean and works.... no belt line rust....  It's a keeper.... nice original.

Belonged to a Fireman who started out in the AC business... on one of his first jobs he was bidding.. the guy couldn't afford it so he bartered cash and this machine.... has had it since the 70s, super condition as far as paint it has a few battle scares but hey I can live with them , gives charater and I don't need to put anything else (beside the door gasket) into
it.... it was runnig when I picked it up ... couldn't hear it running... He said it was time for
it to have a new owner... kids think it's awesome.... gonna give it a week or two since
I had it laying on its back then we're gonna fill it with Coke, Crush and IBC... And use it.
He was a super nice guy... Helped me load it up... so I'm gonna move some projects to
help pay for it and the Nichol Kola restoration... I have too much to do and not the
$$ to do them all.

Yeah it's in the kitchen... the back porch inside isn't quite done and the kitchen is to be gutted this summer... so she said I could put it in the kitchen for now...
plus these things are getting heavier as I get older and I' don't want to put it in the basement too much and hey... she said I could... I must be dreaming biggrin

Usually they sell for your first born child if they are in good shape...  jawdrop

There was one local to me in decent shape... Had been restored in the past few years... guy was asking for $4500

I might be able to get one for $2,500. pic attached. I guess I'm spoiled becase so far I've gotten good deals on my 110LD ($450) and 81D ($850). I was hoping to find a 56RT for under $2,000 if posible. I have an extra coin mech and coin door so even missing those parts for $1,000-$1,500? think that's posible for a half decent machine. What do you think about this one for $2,500? He says everything works except for the coin mech. it's there but dosn't work. Other then that it's missing the chrome, but I think everything else is there and in working order.

I'm torn because it's kinda steep right now with $$, but not sure how often they come along. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks again to all...

Well this is my second 56... The first one needs a paint job... then this one
popped up close... So I talked my wife into it... now the first one has gotta go
as the $$ came from the “Redo the kitchen” fund. So I gotta move it and the
Cavalier 72 down.... I'm never gonna get to them... and I really like the
Quikold coolers.... So any Quikold juniors or standards out there? hopefull

I have it under swap meet stuff as I NEED a Quikold...
I've had all the shelves plated, have a new face plate with the lense HAVE A COKE already
and a new bottle door gasket... it's complete, has a dent in the top that would pop out.
Doesn't run... I plugged it in (brittle cord and nothing came on) never got around to
rewire and try past that... It was my first machine I've hauled it around now for
12 years sad to say... just kept buying other stuff and was always gonna get
around to it...
Just lost interest and I want another Quikold jr/standard of some sort... then I really think
I could be done for a while... I like restoring this Nichol Kola but man it's adding up with
chroming, fabricating missing parts... but I want it to be perfect and be the star of next years calendar! Cool
Then I have the 7up jr. already pulled apart then I think I'll start the Pepsi 81...
Oh yeah then there's the keep the wife happy with gutting the kitchen, build a deck and
finish the inside of the back porch stuff....  help smile

So should I pass on the 56 for $2,500? It's local so figured it may be a good deal. I'd love to find one that's missing a coin mech so I can get a good $$ on it, but I figured I could sell the one out of this along with the coin door?

Eric, I sent you a PM. let me know on your 56. Not sure where your located. thanks

Regarding the 56 for 2500... it looks to have been restored at some point? was it a complete restore? or just paint job?
I bought one restored a while back for 2200 figured that was a pretty good deal, but of course after recieving it.. it looked like my 5 year old did the restoration work on the inside... paint was good but I have to redo the inside tub, shelves, bottle stack, etc...
