Hi guys,

Generally when I sign on, I hit the "view new posts since last visit" button.  Something I have noticed is that on topics that have more than 1 page is that there is sometimes a "new" button then sometimes there is an "all posts" button.  I prefer to look at all the posts on 1 page, but often do not have the choice to.  Why does that choice to be random?

Just checking,

Marvin

Marvin,

This happens because of a setting that limits the number of posts displayed on a page; once this number is reached, additional page(s) are created, hence 1, 2... etc. etc...
If this needs to be raised, let me know... It's currently set to the following settings:

Time before topic is warned as old on reply (?): 120 days
Number of topics per page in the message index: 20 topics
Number of posts per page in a topic page: 10 posts
Number of posts for a hot topic (?): 15 posts
Number of posts for a very hot topic (?): 25 posts
Max topic size to show "All" posts (?): 15  0 to never show "All" posts
Enable previous/next topic links (?): Yes

My six cents,

Jim

Ok,  Now I am starting to understand.  There is a limit on the number of posts that shows the "all" button.

I was wondering why sometimes I saw it and sometimes I did not.

Thanks for the info.
