Can anyone tell me how to fix my Cavalier 96 Coke machine.  When I deposit the dime, and the "Have A Coke" light comes on, I have trouble getting the bottles out.  You have to pull the bottle, release it, and pull again before the bottle comes out.  The catch wont release the bottles on the first try.

Any ideas?

Sounds like it may be time for a "cleaning and lubrication" job on the vending rack.
This could be the cams need lubrication so they reset easier. Does this happen to all the vending slot...? When you attempt to retrieve the bottle on the first attempt and it doesn't vend, do you have to push the gate/bar back or does this spring back on its own AND than you can remove the bottle...
Just out of curiosity, once a bottle is removed, can you remove another without depositing money...?

My six cents,

Thanks Jim for the advice. biggrin

I haven't used the machine in awhile, but I know that this did not happen all the time.  I am not sure if it happened specifically to a certain row or if it was random.  I usually would have the beer on the top racks and the sodas on the bottom racks.  I believe that it was certain rows that this would happen to.

The bottle gate does go back on its own.

Only one bottle is dispensed, but on occasions, the "Have A Coke" light does not go off and you can pull another bottle.
