Dave,
While it is rather retro looking - I do not think it is that old - 10 years?
That is what I think the 98 on the ID tag indicates.
The insides look like those newer can countertop machines.

      At first glance it certainly looks like our old roundtop machines and it is
definately made by the Vendo company. It's impressive they would design
their equipment to look nostalgic in Germany but not here in the U.S.

      Here's another auction from the same seller. It's their version of a slant shelf
machine.  Check out those bottle gates! Are they vending champagne bottles?

Glen, that is kind of a cool looking machine ,
But its a long way to go for a coke machine

It's definitely newer, the  MFG tag lists the refrigerant as R134a ,  but wow, roundtop or not that is one ugly machine.
