This was my first gas pump restore, easier than a soda machine since there are no internal parts to deal with.

That looks sweet! Why no globe on top?

Very Nice Indeed ! ! !
As far as a globe is concerned, that would require altering the original top, which some people do, but it looks good either way ! ! !

My six cents,

Good looking pump.

I have an M&S 80 but done in red with white doors.  I found an ad glass top on ebay that someone had cut a hole in top so I adapted it to have a globe.  It makes it pretty tall but looks good either way.  I have been thinking about just putting the short top on it for a little change.

Looks great!.. I would not do the glob on this one either... hold out for a Script top or ad glass top for it if you'd like or just leave as is!
Very nice... I like the ms80's.. I just bought a Ad Glass Top for my 80 in chicago. It helps turn a 300 pump into a 700 pump.

I like it too. I didn't mean I didn't like it without the globe I just thought all 50's pumps had globes. I think it is really clean looking without it. Nice pump

Thanks guys. I perfer pumps without globes for some reason, the globes make them look older in my eyes, I was going for a late 50's early 60's look for this one.

An ad glass top is a taller top that has a cut out panel for a glass insert that advertises the particular brand of gas. Usually lighted behind also.

There is a Blue Sunoco ad glass top for this model and I may install one in the future.

Ad glass top for MS80 Pumps... not as cool as the script top ,but still nice looking if you don't want the globe on top... Certain pumps look good with globes but not all.
