I would say use white lithium grease. You can buy it at most automotive stores. It is in a spray can. It is good stuff. It will lube it up but it doesn't get gummy over time.

So far, I've left it dray and it seems to be working well.  I was thinking about that spray silicone.  I can check out that lithium grease as well.  Thanks for the suggestion.

So, it now accepts change and provides the correct return change, only one problem left with it.  The dime microswitch seems to be sticking.  I think it's the wire hanging on something in the coin path.  I'll have to try and take it apart and see if there's dirt or someting causing it not to return.  After that, I'll be moving to the next step on cleaning up the machine.
