Sorry for the cross post, but I posted this to the cola machines forums and saw a note that suggested posting to this group too.

I'm new to this type of toy. I acquired a Cavalier coke machine with a Coinco S75-9800B changer.
I am having some issues with the machine that seem to be changer related.

Without depositing any money, it will vend and pay out 10 or 20 cents. You can be walking by and hear the money fallng out! Reminds me of a one-armed bandit.  Smiley

Then other times, it will pay out and vend at the wrong price. I.E. a 50 cent
drink is dispensed after 40 cents deposit and then it gives change to boot!

I've cleaned the thing out and checked switches for continuity, etc. The
only thing I can figure is the logic board is flaking out.

Does anybody have any suggestions besides the logic board?

Searching through the previous messages about these mechs...

Thanks
Bill

First make sure the payout switch located on the bottom right
is down/off, and not locked in the up/on position.

It's the logic board, ( if it were just the inventory/change switch, it wouldn't vend, only give you all the nickels in the tubes. I can usually repair the logic boards on these if you'd like to send me a Personal message, or you could just buy a new replacement mech.

Thanks for the info.

I'm pondering wheter to repair or replace. I may buy a replacement and  have the board repaired for a back up.

Thanks

FWIW, I picked up a good 3340-S from a local vending company today. Was told to test it and come back next week. I have negotiate the price with the company owner when I go back.

So far it works great!

Thanks for the help.
