the embossment is square.about the size of the 7up sticker (i'll look into changing it back to a 7up machine:)

     I like the looks of it i now   ......restore it in 10 or 15 years

I don't think it looks bad either. I like the fishtail logo. I have never seen one on an upright machine.

is there a paint code for the 7up white ?

I would bet the lettering is there - just hidden. It is definately a 7UP as I can see the bottom part (area normally painted black) in the second pic.
Aren't the bubbles and lettering recessed in from the square embossment?
