Any interest in a sit-down

Hello All,  I am one of the newbees to soda machines.  I have my first machine, and as I get the time, knowledge, and money, will be restoring it.  I have been reading the articles that come through here and enjoying things greatly.  Lots of information and helpful people here.  Also, I have been looking at profiles.  Not many list what part of the world people are from.  But, a few do, and I have noticed a couple list south Florida.  Here is the $64,000 question.  Would any of the members that live in the Miami/Ft Lauderdale area care to work on setting up a meet and greet.  How about some Saturday evening at a local Lum's or Denny's, some mutually agreed upon public place?  It would be a chance to share war stories about soda machines, make contacts, put some faces next to the vending machines, maybe develop some local sources for help.  If there is interest, you can reply here or send me an e-mail at wgurk@cofs.net.   '>

Well, not as little response as the survey.  No interest in a get together.  Standing offer.  If anyone/s would like to have a simple meet and greet at a public place in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area. drop a line.  That also applies to out of towners passing through on vacation.  I have always found it interesting to put faces with names.

As a matter of fact, one of the members here, I can't remember his name at the moment, corresponded w/ me and I thought about getting together with him one day but I dropped the ball...
I actually live in Stuart, but travel to Lauderdale frequently since I work there; so a get together could work out provided a few people are interested...

One or a 100, how ever many care to get together.  Don't know what your time schedule is when you come down, but I will work with you on time and place if you would like to maybe have a coffee or a meal before heading back.  Maybe if we get the ball rolling, others might join in.  This all started for me with collecting commerative Coke bottles.  Have a variety of items, and when refurbished, the vending machine should be the center piece of it all.
