I just purchased Embossed 7Up Slider today it was a local machine and seems to be in very good condition, there is a dent where it looks like someone wanted to rip the coin mech off of it, the coin mech is total wreck inside, but other than that.  The body of the machine has almost no major rust except the drain hole.

And someone also welded part of the section where the bottles come out, but I quicky removed the weld, needs some minor surface adjustments.

Was wondering anyone know how hard it is to tear down a Slider.  From what I read on here before I hear the cooling unit is a bit of a pain in the arse.

Its my project for next summer, figure I'll try to find a new coin mech, and what not and put it back together next summer.  Oh and the bugger cools amazingly well.  I had it cold in no time.

I also was wonderin those little screw holes in the side of the machines.  Anyone know how to to replace them, the machine has one or two needing to be fixed, I figure I should figure out how, before I tear the rest of it apart.

Any idea how old Ideal 150s are? anyone?  I also noticed this site does not have any pics of even a Ideal 150 even listed.... Maybe you want to add my pics to the lot lol..

enjoy the pics

Congrats on your find ! ! !
A local machine is always nice to get...
I would like to know if this machine has an ID tag and if so, does it mention a Canadian location...?

And we have added this model w/ a photo to the new database for the new Site; but would definitely be interested in acquiring a photo of you cooler if you want to share...  Could I be so bold and ask if you could take a photo similar to the first but slightly lower and from the coin mech side while remaining primarily in front of the cooler... Thanks a bunch ! ! !

I have pics of the ID tag and its made in Ontario and I'll reattach the coin box for a photo soon as I pull my car out of the way.  I photographed the logos, the underside the inside all the mechanisms.  Just so I have record how to put it back together in the future lol.

And feel free to use any and all photos of this machine.  I noticed no one seems to have this model listed even on the other site(wont mention it lol jk).  New site huh, well well I cant wait to see it..  I'm building a vmc-vendo44 website....

I thought these were manufactured in Canada... Thanks
I could also use some accurate measurements for the listing too...

If you need any help on the "44" Site, don't hesitate to ask...

Thanks again ! ! !

K - they're pretty straight forward machines. Depends on whether you plan to take the liner out to do a full restore or not. Taking the liner out means a fair bit more work but will allow you to replace insulation and fix any interior rust. There are several threads you can find on Ideal 55 tips that you can find by searching the forums.  Go back at least until Jan 06 as that's when I started asking my questions '<img'> .

On the screw holes; Are you asking how to fill them?  Jim posted a really helpful set of instructions on how he fills holes.  I'm not sure what thread that was in but I have it copied in my tips file (bottom page 11) that is available here.

I'm interested how to fix those fitted threaded screw holes, either that I'm going to fabricate a stainless steel tub for this machine that would eliminate the need to worry about future rust.  one of the two screws that holds the right side bottle rack is stripped and all it does is spin, and I know fixing galvanized steel isnt something thats fun, I can weld it.  I was thinking of spot welding a new nut inside.

I read every thread on this board since january, so I do know and thank everyone for there tips.  And will re read them all again..

I will measure it for you if you want...  I guess my machine is someone an oddity seeing as its a Canadian machine, less made... lol

Oh and for the 44 Site I just plan on making a simple site, complete break down of the machine, tons of pics etc., nothing spectacular, just some place for vendo 44 nuts to unload there 44 pics and share some comments, and where to get parts.

I'm going to photograph my entire Vendo 44 Machine that I have in pieces and put it on the website.  Time permitting lol

k - thanks again
