I'm not sure what you the hydrants/plugs have attached to them up in Canada...
We have those signs too.. this part of Ontario is one of the worst for snow ! (right in the middle of the snow belt)
When I sold my squaretop, myself and a friend spent several hours the previous day with shovels and snowblowers just making a path to get it out of the garage !
