As most of you might have read, we are having an addition built.
This new addition will include a gameroom.
I asked the wife if she wanted a pinball machine in there.
Did she want an older model - a newer model...?
She suggested that we get the Pinball Wizard machine.
Since my name is Tom - I had to agree it was a good choice.
I searched eBay and found a few.
I do have a pinball guy who lives 4-5 houses away,
but I would like one that does not need any work or VERY little.
Do any of you know what would be a fair price for a nice shape working machine?

I know this isn't a pinball site, but nobody has an opinion or estimate?
From the auctions I found, it is a 1975 machine.
What do other pinball machines from the same era go for?
The whole Tommy / Who thing might increase it's value some I guess.
But a ballpark figure....
There is one in CA right now, which I could go get - but there is a reserve.
It has all the paperwork, manual etc.

Tom,

I'm not really up to date on my Pins; but I would say between $300 - $500
This could increase, as you said, being the theme is Tommy/The Who...

My six cents,

You are probably looking for Wizard! by Bally (1975).  Wizard (without the "!") is by Gottlieb (1971).
Tommy that Jim is talking about is a newer one and is by Data East (1994).
The 2002 Mr. Pinball Price Guide lists the following prices:
Tommy $1,600
Wizard $400
Wizard! $975

Hope that helps.

Tom - about 6 months ago I was watching how the old tables were selling on ebay from local sellers.  Everyone that was in good condition went for at least $1,000.

I told the wife what I had found and her tune changed pretty fast.
Now it is " let's wait a little bit".
She loves pinball, so I don't think she has strayed too far.
I had a Mobile-Mini dropped off today, so I got plenty of room now.
This guy near me has a whole garage full of pinball machines.
I've talked to him, but he is not the friendliest person in the world - he is nice enough though
He has a route and services them also.
I might just check in with him again when the time comes.

What is a Mobile-Mini?

It is a lockable portable airtight container.
I got a 20'x8'x8' dropped off in my backyard.
Cost is $92.11 per 28 days
$90 drop off fee
$90 pick up fee
$140 relocation fee (won't apply to me)
A lot cheaper than a storage room for 4-5 months
(hopefully not longer) '<img'>
I'll try to take a picture of it tomorrow.

Actually he has an early model V39 in his hallway.
I know it is missing the coin door - not sure if it is complete otherwise.
