My neighbor finally decided to get rid of his v45tb Pepsi machine. I had been eyeing this machine for a while, so I jumped at the opportunity. After spending some time cleaning up the machine I plugged it in that first night and it seemed to be working perfectly. When I checked on it the next morning, it had tripped the breaker. I managed to track the problem down to somewhere in the refrigeration system, but not being familiar with these machines, I was at a total loss.
I found this site and and started reading the posts. After several days of research, I finally got enough courage to do some more indepth trouble shooting.
Using the posting from Skeleton man , I was able to create a test cord to check the compressor, which, thank goodness, started perfectly. At that point, I thought it was the starter relay and was almost ready to declare victory. I then decided to check the condenser fan and when I attempted to turn it on, sparks flew and the breaker was tripped. Upon review, the cord on the fan was rotted in several places and was the ultimate cause of the problem.
Thanks to the postings on this site, I was able to track down this problem and save the cost of a service call from the local repair shop.

Here are a few pics of my v45tb Pepsi machine. After replacing the condensor fan, she seems to working great. I am looking to replace 4 of the "sold out" lights, so any advice as to where to get these would be appreciated.

My Dad had that very machine in front of our grocery store. I remember loading Dew, Teem , Pepsi, diet Pepsi, Patio (root Beer) and Dr Pepper in that. Haven't thought about it in years, it's funny how a Picture jogs your memory

Hello
You can get the sold out lights at Happ but if you are like the rest of us the machine never gets low enough to turn on the sold out lights.

QUOTE if you are like the rest of us the machine never gets low enough to turn on the sold out lights. Plus, a full machine will cycle less, so your electrictiy consumption goes down.
Also, you need to make sure you have enough in case you get snowed in for a week! '>
