I'm thinking of buying another Vendo 44 but parting it out and well if I did, would anyone be interested in some of the parts...  I would only be interested in some of the smaller things on the machine, and the bottle rack so I can tear it apart, and copy it.

k - just wondering

I might be interested in the coin mech, (complete or incomplete) if the price was right.

well I'm not interested in ripping anyone off, I just want to get most of my money back for the machine, and I dont need 3 coin mechs, I want the shoot on the door, and the bottle rack, which will be temporary till I'm done with it lol, and I dont need the cooler either.

I'll ponder the idea of killing a 44 some more lol, because the 44 I'm going to murder is a nice one lol

My brother in law needs a coin mech, coin door and a rack. I talked him into buying this stripped 44 awhile ago and been trying to get parts for him ever since.  Kinda feel obligated..

I would be very interested in the coin mech...  My 44 is complete except for the coin mech and I have been waiting quite a while to find one.....

I'd sell the rack, only after I'm done with it, its going to be dismantled and copied, and as precise as I can get it.

The rest, meh, should be kewl, also just to let you fellows, know soon as I can get my domain vendo-vmc44.com parked I will start a 44 only site, it wont be high flash and glitz but its going to be for 44 nuts lol.

Hello,
I know it is my first post but I am looking at this website since a little while. Really nice discutions going in here. I am currently building a vendo 44. I am looking for the coin entry bezel and some mechanical parts for the handles. If you ever sell the rack you have, I would be really interested too.

I am also completely restoring a one tone red vendo 39. I rechromed and replated (zinc) all the internal parts. The cabinet is now on final primer. I should paint it in the next few weeks.

Thank you Kilroy. I would be happy to show some pictures. I took some today of it assembled in primer. I am taking to my job soon for the painting.

The first picture is the vendo 39 when I baught it. It was in pretty good shape but the back was rough. The chrome was starting to rust lightly (it is now like new). I baught the v-44 this summer and I got a coin mech and front door from ebay. I hope to find the rest of the missing parts some time this year ':p'.

Your 39 is a fairly uncommon version... sort of a cross-over model!  Coke used all red color scheme on their early machines which also had "ice cold" and a rib embossed on the front door and had a small tin-like coin entry bezel.
Later models were 2 toned and had holes punched in the body and main door to install stainless strips dividing the lower red section fron the new white top look.  Also had Vendo embossed in
lower front door.

Hello MoonDawg,
I know the red version if for the earlier vendo 39, but where there not a complete red machine with no embossed Vendo on the front door? When I disassembled the machine, the interior was completely red and I am 100% sure it was the original paint. From the other early version I saw, I never saw an other machine with 11 louvers on the side. They used to have 3 or 4 (not sure how many).

When I baught the machine I got a vin plate with it. The only problem is it is not the normal serial plate I used to see on all the other machines. The plate says Kelvinator of Canada. Information on this plate is :
                             Model
Part no.       #                                   Voltage   115
Serial no.    #                                    Cycle       60
                CSA APPROVAL No. 1131

Would that be the serial plate for the refrigeration unit? I forgot to mention, it is the same size as the serial plate on my vendo 44. I also have 2 set of holes on the exterior of my machine where I can place this plate. On the back and on the left side (looking from the front). Thank you for any informations on that. I will try to upload more pictures of my restoration some time today.
