I was wondering on the Vendo 44 is it ok to replace the drain with something else that I can attach straight through the bottom so I can just attach the hose later.

From looking at the way it was made, I'd say I could rig up a better drain system that will not leak, and be a better alternative to what I think will be a hit or miss option when installing the older style drain inside the machine.

I just cannot figure out how I'm going to install a new drain pipe in there and guarantee it wont leak and rust out my machine again, unless its done a wee bit better.

I was thinking of putting on a screw on adapter on the bottom, so I can pop the pipe up inside, screw it in and then no worries if it fit exact or doesnt align right.  Plus I can get it made from something that dont rust.
