Here's my find of the week/month via craigs list...a nice Cavalier CSS64G Coke machine, all original, it came out of the Pontiac Michigan transportation (bus) Garage in downtown Pontiac, were it was removed from service about 15 years ago ( due to the lack of glass bottles & purchased by the second owner, & now me. runs like a top, the only two flaws I'm concerned with are the missing "gap" in he front right trim ( for a hasp lock) & the broken outer plastic shell of the Style-star coke lightup. it's straight. clean, & quiet, best yet , it was only 10 miles from home! price? less than two Ben Franklins. Spoon-feeding Newbies since 2001... Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes. Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon! The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor 11 is louder than 10... "Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

Close up of the notched side trim...not to worry, I have a piece of trim off of a CSS96 that will fit once it's cut to length.

Even though I don't care for those square machines. I think ones like that are probably going to be the next big thing. 15 years from now I'll be remembering how many I passed up as I see them selling for big bucks.

Nice little machine. I can't believe they put that "simulated wood" sticker on these. I does however add to the character of the era and the piece. I too used to snub my nose at these little cuties, but I think the times are a changin.......

These machines have grown on me. Just a few years ago I was turning them down for free but not anymore.
