Now give me the two best books for machines (1) pre '60 and (1) post. '60 I read the post but by time I was done, I was more of mess on what buy then before I started! '>

It's a shame this book hasn't been updated with a new edition, it's a great reference tool.  Throughout the book, the author mentions getting updates on coolers for future editions, so it appears that he planned to update it.  It was published in 1994, and a lot of new information and different coolers have surfaced since then.  Does anybody know the author, Jeff Walters?  Any future plans for a new edition?

I keep a copy of this book and a couple others, by the same author, on the book shelf for reference.

As far as the pricing goes, I am paying 1992 prices for most of the stuff I am picking up these days. Market is way down on most of the common stuff.

I like the fact that I can look up a machine based on a description from a seller and fairly accurately figure out what the seller has. There are a lot of older people out there who have an extremely hard time posting pictures with their ad.

You can find these books on Ebay. I bought used copies and got the picnic cooler book for almost nothing. In the Soda Machine book I think the average prices on most machines are too high.
