I just acquired a VMC-SA144 Coke machine. It has a dial for the selection of an item. You have three choices for what pop you want. I am thinking it is from the late 50's to the very early 60's. Any ideas as to where I may learn more about this machine? Thanks for any help!

It is from the 1950's - please post some pictures of it if you can. The Soda Machine Section of this site has some more info on it. Scroll down on the left to Vendorlator and then click the 144 button at the top. I have an original VMC binder that contains a manual for it as well as some other printed material on the machine. What did you need to know? <!--EDIT|collecture|1163552402-->

Welcome aboard blmb, These machines are rather large but still pretty cool looking. Coca-Cola world in Las Vegas has one that you can purchase cold sodas from. '>

Thanks for the help so far! I will post some pictures as soon as I can! But, I have a problem! No keys to get into the machine! It has a vmc 51 stamped on the face of the key cylinder. What is the customary response in this case? I would like to keep the original key cylinder if possible.

According to my Fun-Tronics catalog, you are in luck. The only VMC key carried is the VMC 51 (item # 2b). Pretty pricy though - $27.50 each. Phone number is (301) 371-5246

Thanks for the info! That beats having it drilled out! Plus it will be cheaper than a locksmith!

In case Fun-Tronics no longer carried your key and you drilled out the lock, Here is an original VMC51 key and lock. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220177132716&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1123
