What's the going rate for a complete generic Ideal 55 slider. It's in good condition.

Hmmm.... I don't really know... I'd just add up what the parts are worth
cap catcher, coin mech, bottle flap, rack, lid, those are hard to find....
Anybody know what the going prices are for these.. I know a cap catcher can bring around $50-75 buck (sold one on eBay a few years ago....
mech and rack should be pricey... sure someone will know...
Is it in good shape?...

Not sure yet. I haven't restored a slider yet although I do have a few. A embossed RC, 2 double dot pepsi's and a single dot pepsi. One of my double dot's are missing the rack and coin mech.

I picked up the generic Ideal 55 on Sunday. The guy I bought it from was a refrig. tech. so he serviced the compressor for free. He also showed me a 36" porcelan Coca-Cola button with the bottle. He wanted to know if I wanted to buy it for 25 bucks. I couldn't whip my wallet out fast enough. '<img'>

25 bucks.  Your fingers should have whip lash from getting that wallet out.

aspbear1, you got that right, I couldn't believe it myself. I am having my resto shop exterior repainted tomorrow and I am going to hang the button above the garage doors on the roof top gable. I'll show pictures when it's hung up.
