This is the weekend all my friends have been dreading.. Helping me haul out 7 Pop Machines, a Jukebox and a MS Pacman out of the basement, into the moving truck and then down a full flight of steps into the new house! It takes ALOT OF BEER and PIZZA's to convince them.
Plus I had to pack up my whole basement, signs, clocks and stuff... I now have enough Bubblwrap to pack and ship stuff for the next 2 years!
I'll post photos once the new Coke Room is established in the new place in the Great State of Wisconsin!
I'm looking forward to more great finds in the northwoods of Wisconsin!

wow.... That does not sound like a whole lot of fun...  Good luck and don't start drinking too much till the machines are down the new stairs...

Good Luck on the move  Hope it goes well.
Don't let the guy's start drinking till every thing is in place,
It's hard to get them start if you take a break and let them have a few.
I went did that when we moved  I had to replace one of my wife's
  glass bear's that  she collect's .

Thanks... Good tip on when to tap the keg... all I need is my V-44 tumbling down the stairs..

Also Kilroy...I am currently a Midwesterner already.. I live in Minneapolis (near Kato, even though we haven't met yet in person) SO the move is only taking me a bit further east about 2 hours into Sconny! (where  I grew up so that will be fun!)

Thanks for the kind words... Can't wait to get it done... it's frustrating getting it all ready to be packed in the truck! '<img'>

Hope all goes well! Always an adventure, glad you have plenty of help. Maybe install a freight elevator at the new place :-)

That's why my wife and I are thinking about hiring movers whenever we end up moving!

Good luck with your move.  '<img'>

I had to move about 7 soda machines, 1 gas pump, 2 pinball machines, 1 1966 Mustang Fastback, dozens of signs, 1 coke crossing guard, 1 eco air pump, 1 FULL SIZE Herbie fully loaded theater display, 1 Cleveland neon clock plus boxes of other stuff that I collect. Luckily the new house was only a couple miles away and the owner of the new house allowed us to move in my stuff weeks prior to the rest of the house stuff. In the process of moving all my stuff I started to wonder how did I get all the stuff ? and why? Thats when I decide to streamline most of the collection. Also been in the house since Dec 05 and still have not set up the gameroom, everything is in disarray and basically thrown down there  '<img'>

Well I'm happy to report the move went well, without incident and still have feeling in my Back!  18 Steps down to the new "Soon to be" Gameroom/Bar.
4 machines made it down those steps so far.. the others are on the covered porch out back and not sure of the final destination. Only one scare withe the Vendo 81 (first machine brought down) and at the last 8 steps, lost grip on the refrigerator dolly and it skidded down on the dolly to the bottom...  '<img'> That was as scare, but those Vendo's are tough and the Dolly ensured it's safe landing!
I won't have things set up for quite a while so wont' have pictures till then.. but should be set up pretty cool.
Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement! '<img'>

Great to hear that your move went safely and that nothing was damaged!

I will be moving in about three weeks into my new house! Going from a slab house to a full unfinished 1560 sq ft basement!! I can't wait! I'll be moving 2 Soda Pop machines, 1 Vendo Ice Cream machine, 1 Jukebox, 2 maybe 3 (MCarter? Hehehe!) Pinball machines and a bunch of other smaller stuff.

Where exactly in Wisconsin did you move? I have some soon-to-be in-law's (9 days and counting down!) that live in Eagle River. I've been up there a few times and absolutely love it. Twice in the Winter and once in the Summer.

Congrats on the upcoming wedding.. or if it has come and gone..

I moved up to Rice Lake, WI.. Nice smaller community about 9,000 people, but the Hub of everything 60 miles all around.

Already have a lead on a vendo 81!!!.. haven't seen it yet but when I was unloading stuff a few weeks back I had my machines in my garage for a day or so and neighbors came by to say hi and we started talking about machines and of course the stories came out about "I use to have one of those, or knew someone who did" ... Supposeable one guy has one out in his pole shed, but haven't had a chance to arrange a time with him to go see it yet.... '<img'>  Let's hope for a BIG Score... that would be a nice house warming gift!

I hope your luck is better than mine was.... I went to a guys farm last week.. The guy is 87 years old, and still sharp as a tack.. but he is a junk collector. He has cars and boats and garment manufacturing machinery (thats what I work with) all thrown in fields and outbuildings on his 20+ acre farm. There was even a really neat old tire-driven ferris wheel back in the woods.... He is finally starting to clean up his yard, and he told me to come down and walk around and see what I wanted. I pulled up by his main workshop, and there was an older 7-up square top sitting by the door in a pile... Immediately, my head starts spinning in circles.. I could have had itl, but it was a non working cv that was all rusted and missing parts. I asked him where he was hiding the rest, and he said he usually sold the machines to his nephew for around $150...   '<img'>  '<img'>
