its just been a crazy time . i found 5 or 6 good leads on parts and they all went wild on cost .for exsample one was the thing that releases the cans ,he said he had what i needed then i got a friend to go get it , and out of 1 hrs time its not the part we agreed on but the whole machine and the box of extras for 600.00 .!@#$%^&* it started out one 12.00 part. not whole the savage yard .then this town there seems to be very few machines to find unless they are in the price range of 5000 .everyone thinks most are just rotten away .its so sad then a few i found are half way across the country and no garrenty agaist doa . im not a rich person , it takes a few months to put back 40 or 50 can't waist it on a maybe. it just gets so agervating too look and look .i guess its like those little models they were a night mare to do with twezzer in my mouth with no hands.but i still like my machine if i dont get it finished. but i,ll keep trying it just gets to me sometimes i found a service manual, thanks to steve giving me a # ,hopeing it goes good its been a long hard road and its was supose to be a commen machine .but still need parts and paint for a cc5-165 cavalier any ideas would be appreshated .thanks

I can relate to your dismay. I have been having a hard time with a "common" Cavalier machine. I have been fixing up a CS-64e. After a lot of searching I found my new best friend, Glen! (I forget the name of his buisness but he does restorations) Anyways, he seems to have a lot of Cavalier parts at a very reasonable price. He is using parts off of the 60s and 70s machines to restore older "round tops" The only down side for me is that he is on the other side of the country in Ca. Anyways give him a call at # 805 643-8867 from 8.00 to 5.00 Pacific time. Good luck.
