I would say the asking price is too high! From what I have seen and heard from others here, I would estimate a reasonable price between $250 - $350...

That's way to high. You can buy a collectible roundtop for that price. Those go for $200 around St. Louis.

I Know Doc, I live in Michigan, 25 minutes from the border, but old habits die hard.

QUOTE Some people are amazing... I'm waiting for they day when that machine will be getting that '> I too, buy squaretop machines at the $100.00 range and clean them up and offer them for sale to the public. Their popularity is rising and I'm now getting up to $800. each for them, unrestored. This Cavalier is in above average condition, with no woodgrain, it lights up, is capable of vending cans and it's Coca Cola, so it should sell at $1000 + retail. Unfortunately, if it were Pepsi or any other brand it would sit for over 2 years and finally sell for $500.00 max. in this store.
Nobody wants to buy an antique soda machine................................................................................... ........they all want "an old Coke machine"
I remember when I had to pay $1000. for my first Vendo 81, thought I was really taking a risk. '> The light up Cavalier 64 will become the 81 of the future.

Can't edit the above post. Think the sign on front is steel but it would look good if it were changed to a lightup

QUOTE Can't edit the above post. The new system has a provision to limit the time allowed to edit a post. I just checked and reset it to allow up to an hour for members to edit their posts... Is this sufficient time...?
