Those with Ebay experience

For those who have dealt a lot on Ebay...I seek your opinions.
Snap On tool box auction

This auction is for a set of Snap on Tool Boxes that would retail of the truck for around $10K.  Auction has no reserve and it is a new user.  Only feedback is from a 1 deal new user, who also has feed back from a 1 deal new user.  It seems like it may be a scam.  Anyone care to give thier thoughts?  Thanks.

Is it close enough to check out?
They also have bid on a few items, so that is kind of good.
Ask the seller a few questions and see what kind of answers they give you (where is it located, how long they have had it, etc.).

Oh, BTW, I thought that you were supposed to be writing something, not hanging out here and on ebay!  :'>

I agree, it is a little funny that all the related feedback is new users who joined eBay within a day of each other - but all eBay users have to start at zero. You're right on to be cautious.

I agree with the doctor though. Ask a few questions first and judge the responses. I wouldn't bid unless I could pickup in person paying cash.

Let me see if this makes sense...
The seller's one feedback was a buyer with one feedback.
If you look at the buyer's history, his one feedback was for a large price ($14k) item, and the runner up is  the seller of the toolbox. Oh, that auction ended early.. It's late, and the flipping between Id's, histories and feedbacks got dizzying, but the buyer, and his only feedback joined ebay in a day of each other. I understand hiding bidders on large priced items, but hiding the auction number also? the sellers one feedback  also ties into a no longer registered user, who joined in mid August. Got to be something to get tossed from Ebay in two weeks of joining.

Unless it's a pretty  '> off wife getting revenge on her soon to be ex, starting a no reserve auction at $300, for a $10K peice of equipment  doesn't  give me a warm fuzzy.

Yeah, I should have not gave in and logged back on again...gotta wean myself off here and get back to writing.  I was on ebay looking for something for my mom and just happened on the tool box...or that is my excuse anyway.

SCAM   He sold the same box twice within a week. And the pics don't come up but it seems the yellow box was already sold once too.
His item location keeps jumping all over the US with what seem to be fake cities.

That's what I tell all my "Old biddies" when I do a scams presentation. It works for me.

The only way I would buy that is cash on collection after examination.

I'd vote SCAM. I email him and asked what state he was in and he has not responded.
